About

Paragon of Play is a learning resource centre offering programming for children, teens, adults, and families. From paint nights to craft workshops and from tutoring to day camps - arts, literacy and wellness programming is found here.

Paragon of Play is owned and operated by Jessica Spice, a current teacher and college course facilitator, and former early childhood educator. Jessica opened Paragon of Play as a response to two major needs she noticed in the community - recreational learning-centred programming for children, and fun arts-centred activities for adults.

Paragon of Play is a community space where we can all build connections, get creative and learn something new. Come have fun learning through play at Paragon of Play Learning Resource Centre!

Techniques

P.A. Day Learning Camp - Printmaking Techniques

Paragon of Play is pleased to offer P.A. Day Camps based on the HPEDSB/ALCDSB school year calendar for our 2nd year. Each camp will feature a different curriculum focus, with learning activities led by passionate educators and facilitators. For October, we will explore the wondrous world of printmaking techniques. Students will learn to create unique prints using a range of materials, resulting in a variety of patterns and effects.

Recommended age range 4-12

Our day includes:

-3 different printmaking techniques learning sessions

-Outdoor free-play period at the local park

-Whole group lunch

-Free time with toys/games, open-ended art exploration
